Session at Moby Dick Music Studio

About the Studio

Moby Dick Music Studio is a recording studio in Schieweg, Delft. The studio is owned and run by Tim Koning. In the old space of Sven Figee's (AKA. Sven Hammond) Marmalade music studio, new gear and new energy bring back the magic.

Named after the legendary Led Zeppelin track, the studio aims to be the ultimate hangout for musicians. Let's create some amazing records together!

Tim has studied drums at Codarts Rotterdam, and has a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from TU Delft. In this studio, he brings both technical expertise and a passion for music.

What We Offer

Whether you're a band cutting a live record, a producer layering overdubs, or a solo artist demoing new material, Moby Dick has the space and the tools to make it happen.

We work with artists across all genres. The setup is hybrid: real hardware where it matters, in the room and at the console, combined with a full digital workflow so you leave with files that are ready to go.

The Rooms

The studio has a main live room and several additional recording spaces, giving you flexibility for different configurations: full band, isolation, or anything in between. All rooms feed into 32 analog inputs at the console.

Do I need to bring my own instruments?

You can bring your own instruments if you want, but the studio has a full collection including drums, keys, guitars, bass guitars, and a selection of great amps. Most artists don't need to bring a thing.

Do you offer engineer or producer services?

We have engineers available, but you're also welcome to bring your own.

What does the live room sound like?

The live room has a high ceiling and great natural reflections. We also have an iso booth for a dry sound, and a vocal booth perfect for tracking vocals.
